I lived in Cordova, Alaska for the first 17 years of my life; therefore, Alaska will always be my home.
The wet weather, the overcast summers, the easy-going nature of the town runs in my veins. I return on occasion to visit and honestly would love to return there one day to live. Alaska is unlike any other place in the world- the mountains, the oceans, the people, the fish- nothing compares. This is my first home.

In 2007 I moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho- a.k.a the "Inland Northwest". Since moving to Coeur d'Alene I moved to Tacoma, Washington to attend Pacific Lutheran University and from there have had all sorts of adventures throughout the northwest and along the Pacific Coast.
In the summer of 2010- between my freshman and sophomore year at PLU- I was blessed with the opportunity to travel Europe with one of my close friends from Alaska and her family. My friend and I spent three weeks alone backpacking from Germany to Switzerland to Rome and getting to participate in YWAM Lausanne's Regeneration Outreach as well as spend a week at L'Abri in Huemoz, Switzerland. Towards the middle of July the rest of the family met up with us in Rome and we traveled to the destination "hot spots", then flew to Ireland where we stayed on the west coast for a few days before driving cross country and staying in a home. We then traveled to Wales for a few nights of camping before following the trail of Jane Austen through England.
Spring Break of 2011 brought a major change in my life. My heart was awakened to love in a way that I never thought possible and it wasn't for a man, it wasn't for any thing; rather, my heart was awakened in love for the orphans, for the youth, for the people of Haiti. Since 2011 I have returned to Haiti two other times and have continued to make connections with people in the U.S. who have hearts for Haiti.
From day one flying into the airport at Port-au-Prince; Haiti has become another home in my life.

In May and June I got the privilege to travel to SE Asia with TEAM. After my time with TEAM I was able to take some additional days to visit friends serving in Chiang Mai as well. This was a time of great vision casting and seeing the reality of life in that part of the world, The people, the places, the foods, the heat, the nature, it was all amazing and I look forward to returning one day!
